These are predictions, from the Scripture, of what it appears is on the horizon.
- The events of Revelation 20:7-10 and Ezekiel 38-39 will transpire, most likely within a reasonable amount of time. What exactly reasonable is anyone’s guess, but as Israel has been in their land since 1948, and Jerusalem has been somewhat liberated since 1967, many sense the urgency of the hour and the coming future conflict over Jerusalem, even naming it the Gog Magog war, despite differences in interpretation.
- 2/3rds of Israel, or perhaps the entire Earth, will be killed, and the remainder will go through the fire. This is not the “Great Tribulation”, as the occurred in 66-70 AD, but the events of Zechariah 13 will bring about the ultimate salvation of Israel, even as WWII brought about the rebirth of it as a nation.
- Just as there was a great move of the Spirit through the Healing Revival led by men such as William Marrion Branham and Kenneth E. Hagin in the 1940’s and 1950’s, which corresponded to the Ezekiel 37 prophesying to regather the scattered, dry bones, it seems there will be another great move of the Spirit in the Earth, corresponding outpouring of the Spirit, the wind or breath, of Ezekiel 37 as well. As the first prophesying brought about the building of a body, but that body was still dead, so Israel is now regathered, living as one body, with sinew and skin, but they remain dead in their transgressions and sins. They have yet to be born again in Messiah Jesus, receive the Holy Spirit, as Ezekiel 39:29 indicates. This is indicated by the Second prophesying of the prophet of Ezekiel 37, and will result in Romans 11:26, all Israel being saved in Christ.
- There will be at least seven (7) years after the conclusion of this war, so that the words of Ezekiel 39:9 will be fulfilled concerning using the weapons of war as fuel.
- For an unknown period of time, the Israel will possess the Kingdom as a nation, cleansed of her backsliding, with Jerusalem as its capital. Thus, the mountain of the LORD’s house will be established as chief among the nations, and the nations will look to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Those who do not come up worship Christ will be under the curse (Zechariah 14:16-19). This does not necessarily correspond to the literal Feast of Tabernacles, nor literal Jerusalem, although it may. As the Feast of Tabernacles was the third of the three required feasts, and the first represent salvation through faith in Jesus’ name (Passover), and the second the baptism of the Spirit at Pentecost, the third feast that is required is Tabernacles. While Zechariah 14 is to be fulfilled in the future, as understood, it is also worth noting that its fulfillment may be the true spiritual substance of the thing, and not the outward form, as those are only ever the shadow of the true reality, which is Christ. Nations which do not acknowledge Christ will not receive “rain”.
- At a yet undisclosed hour (Matthew 24:36), the Second Coming will occur. The entire heavens and earth will be destroyed. This is Revelation 20:11-15, as well as Matthew 24:29-31.
