And I saw an angel standing in the sun, who cried in a loud voice to all the birds flying in midair, “Come, gather together for the great supper of God, so that you may eat the flesh of kings, generals, and the mighty, of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, great and small.”
Revelation 19:17-18
When considering the marriage supper of the lamb, let us consider the menu. This is clearly a reference to a battle.
Looking at the timeline of Revelation laid out, the “marriage supper” most likely would have been the final victory of Constantine in taking the kingdom and making it Christian. This was not without mixture, but it was the decisive blow against the beast of Rome, in a spiritual sense, as the head of that empire was converted to Christianity, and the church of Christ made “legal” (the Edict of Toleration) in 313AD.
